The Cuyahoga Falls boys golf team finished 13th with a score of 387 at the 15-team Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Invitational, which took place Aug. 8 at Silver Lake Country Club.
Hudson won the competition with a score of 311 and Cleveland St. Ignatius (326) and Chagrin Falls (329) placed second and third, respectively.
Hudson's Will Kurtz earned medalist honors with a score of 68.
Brian Goga led the Black Tigers with a score of 94. Rounding out the team scoring for Falls were Nick Marusiak (95), Kyle Pursley (99) and Colin Ward (99).
The Black Tigers finished eighth with a score of 380 in the eight-team National Conference at the Suburban League Preseason Tournament Aug. 5 at Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ravenna.
Hudson won the competition with a score of 310 and Twinsburg (329) and Nordonia (330) placed second and third, respectively.
Twinsburg's AJ Coy shot a 74 to earn medalist honors.
Pursley led the Black Tigers with a score of 93.
Rounding out the team scoring for Falls were Marusiak (95), Derek Waffen (96) and Goga (96).
Falls was scheduled to compete at the Tannenhauf Invitational Aug. 12 at the Tannenhauf Golf Club Inc. Results were not available at press time.
The Black Tigers are set to play at the Hudson Explorer Invitational Aug. 16 at The Country Club of Hudson. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
