There's never a good time for a losing streak, but Cuyahoga Falls boys basketball has hit the skids at the worst time possible.
Falls dropped its fourth straight game Feb. 15 at Solon, losing by a 53-43 score.
The Black Tigers dropped to 11-9, 2-6 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division heading into the final week of the regular season.
It wasn't hard to see why Falls lost in Solon. The Black Tigers only managed 10 points in the first half.
Solon took a lead of 12-7 after one quarter and 23-10 at the half. Falls picked up its scoring in the second half but never was able to close the gap.
Falls forward Angelo Cugini led all scorers with 18 points, but he was the lone Black Tiger in double figures.
Hari Fair led the Comets with 17 points, while Josh Glass added 12 points.
Falls was set to play a doubleheader with Brush at home Feb. 22, as the two teams were scheduled to complete a suspended game from earlier this season. Results were not available at press time.
Cuyahoga Falls will open its Division I playoff run Feb. 26 at Copley against Wadsworth. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
