Cuyahoga Falls man celebrates 95th birthday

Robert E. Hall of Cuyahoga Falls celebrated his 95th birthday on Jan. 15. Mr. Hall was born on Jan. 15, 1922 in Akron to Opie and Myrtle Hall. Mr. Hall attended Buchtel High School. During his senior year, he participated in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Utah. He spent five years in the U.S. Army (three of them in North Africa and Italy).

He worked at B.F. Goodrich for 45 1/2 years and for the Akron Board of Education for 14 years. He married Floriana on Dec. 31, 1948.

The Halls' children and their spouses are: Cynthia (Larry) Odom of Overland Park, Kan.; David (Jean) Hall of Massillon; Robert (Janice) Hall of Keller, Texas; Marlene (Donald) Wyzynski of Cuyahoga Falls; and Joyce (Edward) Mitchell of Tallmadge. The Halls have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with twins due in May.

Mr. Hall's hobbies include Bingo, reading multiple newspapers and socializing with residents and staff.

A birthday celebration recently took place at Spaghetti Warehouse in Akron with 20 guests, with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in town in attendance.

He received many cards.

Robert and Floriana both live at National Church Residences Nursing Home in Cuyahoga Falls.
