Appalachian Folk Duo Honey Dewdrops to perform Feb. 18

Brecksville -- Appalachian folk duo the Honey Dewdrops will play at Happy Days Lodge in Cuyahoga Valley National Park for the first time on Feb. 18. The concert is hosted by the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the National Park Service.

Two bands with locally grown talent will compete at 2017 Rock Off in Cleveland

Two high school bands with members in Cuyahoga Falls and Twinsburg were among those selected to play in this year's Tri-C High School Rock Off. The Rock Off is at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, 1100 E. 9th St. in Cleveland. The preliminary rounds started Jan. 28 and Feb. 4, and continue Feb.

Ceramics exhibition now open at Hiram College

HIRAM -- "Fired in Freedom," a showcase of ceramic works from nearly 20 artists, runs through Feb. 22 at the Hiram College Gelbke Fine Art Gallery, 12000 Winrock Road. The exhibition features ceramic pots and sculptures that were fired in the Freedom Township wood-fired kiln.

Second offering from Ohio Shakespeare Festival

The second offering in Ohio Shakespeare Festival's first full season of indoor programming will be "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised]," running one weekend only, through Dec. 18, at Greystone Hall in downtown Akron. All 37 plays will be performed in 97 minutes.
