With the unveiling of the state biennial budget proposal just days away, state Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes (D-Akron) recently called for constituents and the public to share their concerns, suggestions and other thoughts regarding the direction of the state through a new online survey.
Citizens can access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RepSykesHD34.
“The state budget will have a direct impact on the people of the thirty-fourth House District, and I want to hear directly their concerns and ideas on how we can spur economic growth and opportunity in our state,” said Sykes. “I encourage everyone who can to complete the online survey, and together we will fight to pass a state budget that helps protect and grow the middle class.”
The House Finance Committee will begin hearings on the state biennial budget this week.
Sykes, who serves as the House Assistant Minority Whip, represents the citizens of parts of the city of Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Bath Township.
