Ralph D. (Bud) Dannemiller

Served on D-Day

Ralph D. (Bud) Dannemiller, 94, died Jan. 5, 2013.

He was born in Cuyahoga Falls and was a graduate of the Falls High Class of 1937. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was a retired Director of Operations Executive from Lawsons. He enjoyed sports, especially golf; and was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving during World War II. He was a Tank Commander on D-Day receiving five bronze stars.

Mr. Dannemiller was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Katherine; wife, Margaret; and sons, Ralph David II and Thomas Owen Dannemiller. He is survived by grandchildren, Teresa Dannemiller, Thomas (Rachel) Dannemiller and Tamara McClellan; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service took place at McGowan-Reid and Santos Chapel, an Anthony Funeral Home. Interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors.
