Douglas Allen Chaplin

Douglas Allen Chaplin died Jan. 10, 2013, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 6, 1953 in Parsons, W.Va., but lived the rest of his life in Akron. He was a graduate of Garfield High School and Hammel Actual Business College. He worked for the Summit County Welfare department as a case worker for many years. He was a fan of hunting, NASCAR , the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Chaplin and his brother, James (Jimi) Michael Chaplin. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann (White) Chaplin of Akron; his sister, Mickie (Chaplin) Boldt of Los Angeles; sons, Nicholas Chaplin and Neal Chaplin; daughter-in-law, Crystal Chaplin; grandchildren, Logan (Nick), Aiden and Chloe (Neal); nephew, Christopher Boldt of San Pablo, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service took place at the Graham Road Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
