I had a couple stop me tonight on 27th St. and tell me they found a large white dog with spots on it...short hair. It had a beagles face, longer tail, and the body of a dalmation/grayhound. The dog was clean and had a gentle personality- appeared to be female. The girl that found the dog said she called the Falls police and they told her there is nothing that can be done and to just release the dog and hope it makes its way back home.

I wanted to thank the couple for spending their free time trying to track down the dog's owner. The girl was torn because she loves dogs (they have a few already) and she just didn't want to release it back onto the streets. She was over by Valley Vista park because she received a tip by the cops that the dog was called in as first seen on our side of State Rd.

Hopefully the dog's owner is found..she looked well cared for. I didn't catch the name or number of the couple that found her on Roosevelt but they drive a larger Ram truck, dark in color and a newer model.
