WAKR Sponsored Mother's Day Celebration

Akron, Ohio (June 4, 2010) Last month 1590 WAKR sponsored the 3rd Annual "Make Mom's Day" contest and reception held at the Sheraton Inn in Cuyahoga Falls. Twenty listeners who had won the twice-daily contest were invited to attend the reception to be honored and receive their gifts.

Family Treasure owner, Bill Skidmore, donated twenty pair of pearl earrings for each of the winning mothers. The Grand Prize winner's pair of earrings was different from the rest and that lucky mother won one year of house cleaning FREE provided by Northeast Ohio Maid Brigade located in Canton, Ohio.

"This is the third year we've participated," said Maid Brigade co-owner, Ray Toombs. "In the past we've provided the qualifying prize, but this year we were honored to offer the Grand Prize to a much deserving mom, Kellie Patterson of Cuyahoga Falls."

"I was thrilled and shocked," said winning Mom, Patterson. "I was pleased with winning the earrings! I can't wait to have them begin to clean my home. It's great just to get out of having to clean the toilets."

"It is the perfect prize, especially for the working Mom," said Ray's wife, Margie Toombs and co-owner in the Maid Brigade franchise. "Working women are feeling they have two full time jobs between their career and family. By providing a clean home for Kelly and other Moms like her, we know we remove a great deal of work and stress from their lives."

Kelly Patterson has received the gift certificate for house cleaning valued at $1680 which is good for two hours of cleaning per month for an entire year.
