My gratitude and commendation to Mr. Wendell for his thoughts on Veteran's Day. My father was a WWII veteran, a machinist in a locally run "small business" and never got Veteran's Day off, as well. However, we must be reminded, especially this time of year of all the people who get a paid holiday (holy day)for Christmas. Some of these people are not Christians, and do not celebrate the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and yet, reap the benefit of this sacred holiday. The "illogical" side of this is that, it IS a Holy Day, and yet, society, or "polical correctness" (i.e. -advertising ads, etc.) deems us to use the term "Happy Holidays" instead of MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I, personally, Mr. Wendell, thank you for your service to our country, and wish you a very, Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,

Amy Petron

I always laugh when "christians" get offended that Christmas is considered a holiday. Is it not a holiday? Wouldn't "jesus" want you to be toleratant of other, like maybe the Jews....Especially when you consider HE WAS ONE! Stop the pity-party, chrisitans. Not even your god is buying it any more.
