Universal Healthcare Shouldn't be a Debate

I am embarrassed daily that we are the only industrialized country without some sort of universal healthcare, and the prospect of catching up with the rest of the world has the country in an uproar. The fact that some people would rather spend money killing people in far away lands than saving Americans is just sad. Please, everyone. Let's do the right thing and get behind a public option for healthcare. It's the right thing to do.

Compared to the cumulative costs of such various and duplicative programs as private health care, 'charity' write-offs, Medicare, V.A. Benefits, Tri-Star Military Insurance, Federal Health Insurance, Medicaide, and Workman's Compensation...just how much 'more' could a universal healthcare policy cost our nation? The only thing it would do is force folks who don't currently purchase health care insurance to join the risk pool.
