During this Lenten season at Grandview United Methodist Church, 2315 Phelps Ave. Rev. James McKenzie has been presenting a series called "Beneath the Cross: Letters From a Good Friday World" during the 10:30am Sunday morning worship service.
This series concludes with Rev. McKenzie reading the letter from Judas during the Maundy Thursday service held on March 20 at 7:30pm. Holy Communion by intinction will be included.
On Good Friday, March 21, the church sanctuary will be open from 12 noon - 3:00pm
for quiet prayer and meditation on the "Seven Last Words."
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 22 from 1:30pm - 2:30pm. Games, crafts, and punch and cookies will be enjoyed after the eggs are found. In case of bad weather, the hunt will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
On Easter Sunday morning, March 23, at 7:30am there will be a Sunrise Service led by Guest Lay Speaker Simon Anderson. A continental breakfast will be held following this service from 8:30am - 10:00am.
Our regular Easter Sunday morning service will be at 10:30am. The sermon title is "Resurrection Run" by Rev McKenzie. Music selections by New Creation Singers, Jubilation Sound, Chancel Choir and the Handbell Choir will be included.
