For the fourth year in a row, the Woodridge boys cross country team won the Division II boys cross country state title last weekend.
Woodridge was victorious with 93 points Nov. 7 at Scioto Downs in Columbus. They are the first Division II cross country team to ever win four straight Division II state championships.
Much like last year, it was another close call for the Bulldogs, as runner-up Elyria Catholic finished with 98 points.
"There's so many kids that never even get a chance to run at states," coach Jeff Howard said. "To win four state title tells you everything you need to know about these kids."
Woodridge finished with two All-Ohio placers as Kyle Cochrun was 12th in 16:24.88 and Vibushan Sivakumaran was 18th in 16:34.58.
After missing last year's state meet because of an injury, Cochrun said he was a bit surprised how the race turned out, but was happy to have earned All-Ohio honors.
