Adult Doubles corn hole tournaments
Ring in spring at Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department's corn hole tournament sponsored by 16 Kids Deli in Schmitt Family Food Mart. The tournament is May 18 at 2 p.m. The tournament will be played outdoors at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave. Teams can bring their own food and beverages and compete for prizes. Take Mom to the Prom!
Ahoy mateys! Moms and sons are invited to celebrate Mother's Day in style on May 10 from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Quirk Cultural Center. This special evening includes a pirate theme, dinner, dancing, a keepsake photograph and more. Shirts and ties are recommended.
Boys must be 4 years old and above. Seating is on a first come basis beginning at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to sit together should arrive together.
All reservations must be made in advance. Cost per person: residents are $10, and non-residents are $12.
Disco Fever middle school dance
All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can celebrate the end of the school year at this 1970s retro dance party. The Parks and Recreation Department's Disco Fever Middle School Dance is May 17 at the Quirk Cultural Center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold the night of the dance at the door beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 and are limited. DJ, food and favors will be provided.
Health screenings at Quirk Cultural Center
A series of available health screenings will take place at the Quirk Cultural Center on May 8. The screenings available are Stroke, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Peripheral Arterial Disease and Osteoporosis. These have proven valuable in detecting unrecognized problems in individuals who may not be able to have these done under insurance policies on a preventative measure and be done in less than an hour. Cost is $45 each or $129 for all four screenings.

Come and create a mom's keepsake box
Create a project that keeps on living and your mom will be excited as it is in a box all ready to water and grow. Class is scheduled for May 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center.
Registration fee is $2 resident/$4 nonresident with a class fee of $20 payable to the instructor, Tami Custer, which includes all supplies and materials.
