CECILIA M. HOFFMAN

Cecilia M. Hoffman, 98, died March 12, 2008. She was born in Cincinnati on Nov. 23, 1909, to Olivia and William Hermeling. A devout Catholic, she had been actively involved in parishes in the Cincinnati area where she lived most of her life. In 2001 she moved to Ellet Manor in Akron but had resided at Traditions at Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls since 2004. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and concern for others.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, "Joe" in 1957; sisters, Olivia Albertz, Armella McEnany, Mildred Sackmann, and Ursula O'Keefe; nephews, Glenn McEnany Jr., Carl Alberts Jr.; and niece, Bridget Rose Brady.
She is survived by niece, Rosaleen (Pat) Brady, of Cuyahoga Falls, who had lived with her from age 15; their children, who knew her as "Grandma Ceil": Glenn, Cecilia, Emmet, Matthew; nephew, Bill (Kim) O'Keefe; niece, Mary Jo Albertz Custer and family; niece-in-law, Ruth (Mrs. Glenn) McEnany and their families. She is also survived by many Hoffman, Denneman, O'Keefe, and McEnany nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great- nephews in Ohio and Iowa; as well as her neighbors and "guardian angels," Pat and Bob Schmid.
Funeral Mass and interment have already taken place in Cincinnati. A memorial service took place at Traditions at Bath Road, Fr. Tom McCann officiating.
Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home in Stow was in charge of arrangements.
