Broadman Baptist Church
Broadman Baptist Church, 350 E. Bath Road, hosts the following programs and services:
On Sundays, fellowship takes place at 9:30 a.m., followed by Life Impact classes at 9:45 a.m., and worship service from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
On Wednesdays, there is a fellowship meal at 5:30 p.m., followed by worship and prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and discipleship from 7 to 8 p.m. (various age group classes).
On Easter Sunday, March 23, at 8 a.m. there will be a sunrise service with a pot luck meal following. There will be another worship service at 11 a.m.
Andrea Clemens will be in concert at the church March 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Clemens began performing at an early age with her family. Her parents, Dennis and Diane Herris, and her three younger sisters, traveled as the Herris family, and shared the gospel of Jesus through song across the Eastern U.S. Clemens began writing her own music at age 10. She debuted her solo album entitled, "Undeniable Love," in May 2000. It features five original songs and six cover tracks in various musical styles.
Bring a Neighbor Day is March 30, with a worship service at 11 a.m. and a with pot luck meal following.
Redeemer Lutheran Church
Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 Fifth St., celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus with the following Holy Week schedule. Resurrection morning, March 23, will be celebrated with a sunrise service at 7 a.m., along with the church's regular worship services at 8:45 (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (contemporary). Sunday school and Adult Bible Hour will take place at 10 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. in the church basement. Menu includes eggs, bacon, hash browns, fruit, danish, juice and coffee. A free will offering will be taken and proceeds will benefit the Redeemer Youth Group. First Christian Church
First Christian Church, 2253 Third St., will host two Easter Sunday services on March 23.
Sunrise service at 8 a.m. and regular service at 10:45 a.m. Breakfast will be served in between the two services.
Services will take place Sundays at 10:45 a.m. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care is provided.

First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls
Celebration of Easter will take place at the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, with three services on March 23 at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Each service will be identical with hymn singing, scripture, prayer, an Easter message by Rev. Marvin Brown and music by the Epworth and Chancel choirs and a brass ensemble. Child care is available for infants and preschoolers at each service. The church is wheelchair-accessible.
"Crucified" is a musical passion drama presented by the 45-member Epworth Youth Choir at the church on March 30 at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Also on the program will be a variety of anthems, all a part of the program the choir has presented in churches in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee in their week-long concert tour during Spring Break. A free will offering will be taken to help defray expenses of the tour. Child care will be available.
United Presbyterian Church
On Easter Sunday, March 23, the Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord, worship will be marked by special music during the 8:30 a.m. service with a Bell Processional and anthem "How Beautiful," conducted by guest conductor Rachel Nunez, of the music faculty at Malone College. The New Creation Praise Band will be leading high-energy worship for the 11 a.m. service. Communion will be celebrated at both services and Pastor Ross Slaughter's message will be "Saved By His Life" based on Matthew 28.1-10 and Romans 5.6-11. The Education Hour for all ages is from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Child care is provided during all Sunday morning activities. Parking is available on church property and all Sunday services and activities of the church are free and open to the public.
An Easter Pancake Breakfast will take place in the fellowship hall, hosted by the U. P. C. Youth Ministry. The proceeds will go toward their Mission Trip this summer as they work with Charleston Outreach (South Carolina) assisting with home repair in low-income neighborhoods. The breakfast on March 23 is from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
PrayerLab is scheduled for March 25. PrayerLab is an opportunity to pray and to be prayed for. Pilgrim United Church of Christ
Pilgrim United Church of Christ welcomes one and all to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter Sunday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. "Taking the Risk of Dying," is the title of Rev. Kirk Bruce's Easter message. He will be using John 20 1-18 for his text. Following the service, beverages and cake will be served in the social hall. Pilgrim UCC is located at 130 Broad Blvd. in downtown Cuyahoga Falls and is handicap accessible. Child care for toddlers and infants is provided.
"Yes Lord I have Sinned But I have Excellent Excuses," by James Moore will be the topic for discussion in the new adult 9:30 a.m. Sunday School Class beginning March 30. Adults not wishing to take part in the Book study may either attend a Bible study in the Pilgrim Library or adjourn to the Heritage Room for a hot beverage and silent meditation. During March, Matthew 6:25-33 and Matthew 25: 4-46 are the Biblical references for the Children's Sunday that also meets at this time.
The Ladies Friendship Circle will be meeting at Pilgrim's parking lot on March 27 at 6:30 p.m. to carpool to TGI Fridays for dinner. New members are always welcome.
Cub Scout Troop 3186, that meets at Pilgrim, is looking for names and addresses of military men and women to whom they can send care packages. To pass along information or to contribute items for the boxes or money toward the postage, call the church office.

Bethany United Church of Christ
Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd., is offering many opportunities to worship on Easter Sunday, March 23:
* 6:30 a.m., Great Vigil -- This ancient service, which begins as light dawns on Easter morning, proclaims the victory of Christ's light over all the powers of darkness.
* 8:30 a.m., worship -- The congregation will proclaim the joy of the Resurrection through the service of Word and Sacrament.
* 10:30 a.m., worship -- This service will proclaim the joy of the Resurrection with music by the Chancel Choir and Memory Bell Choir.
One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) is the relief, refugee and development fund of the United Church of Christ. It is one of the special mission offerings received by the United Church of Christ and is a part of Our Churches Wider Mission (OCWM). During March the Mission Committee will be supporting the Harvest for Hunger Canned Food Drive. Every Sunday in March the congregation will collect canned and dry goods. Drop boxes for the canned goods will be available by each of the name tag boards. The building is wheelchair accessible with handicapped parking. Grandview United Methodist Church, 2315 Phelps Ave., will host two Easter Sunday services.
On Easter Sunday morning, March 23, at 7:30 a.m. there will be a sunrise service led by Guest Lay Speaker Simon Anderson. A continental breakfast will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
The regular Easter Sunday morning service will be at 10:30 a.m. The sermon title is "Resurrection Run" by The Rev. McKenzie. Music selections by New Creation Singers, Jubilation Sound, Chancel Choir and the Handbell Choir will be included.

The Church
in Silver Lake
The Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Road, is a spiritual wellness center. The church offers a weekly Bible study class each Thursday at 12:30 p.m. The church also provides "Lunch On Us" the first Saturday of each month beginning at 11:30 a.m. The weekly Sunday worship service is at 10:30 a.m. The church invites community members to Easter Sunday services. First United Methodist Church of Akron
The First United Methodist Church of Akron is having an Easter Pancake Breakfast Sunday March 23 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the social hall. There will be sausage, juice, coffee, tea and all the pancakes you care to eat. The cost is $5 for adults. Children 18 and under are free. University of Akron students are free with a current ID. Unity Chapel of Light to host monthly dinner, movie
Unity Chapel of Light, 503 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge, is launching a monthly pasta dinner, followed by a free movie screening, beginning March 25. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and will include pasta with marinara or meat sauce, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. The movie, "You Can Heal Your Life: the Movie," based on the best-selling book "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise L. Hay, an internationally known metaphysical lecturer and publisher, is free and will begin at 7:30. Families with infants are welcome to view the movie from the church's "quiet room." Child care and an age-appropriate movie will be provided for children ages 3 and older.
