Gibson, Lance pledge love in summer vows

Meghan Gibson and Nathan Lance were married July 7, 2007 at the Kelton House Garden in Columbus. The Rev. Carolyn Piper officiated at the ceremony which was conducted at the site of an historic underground railroad home. The bride is the daughter of Jim and Marcheta Gibson of Galion. The bridegroom is the son of Darlene Lance of Cuyahoga Falls.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin strapless trumpet gown, featuring a black satin Obi sash with beaded detail and a sweep train. Her elbow-length veil was attached to a tiara and she wore a necklace of Swarovski crystals which she created. She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.

The maid of honor was April Lawicki of New Jersey, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Brenda Dolland of Van Nuys, Calif., Mandy Woodmansee of Cleveland, Mary Peterson of Cleveland, Anna Durtschi of Richmond, Va., and Leslie Stumpo of St. Petersburg, Fla., all friends of the bride.

Caleigh Aigler of Tiffin, daughter of the best man, was the flower girl.

Jeremiah Aigler of Tiffin, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. The groomsmen were Mike Greeley of Medina, Jason Bleil of Eaton, Chad Shepherd of Aida, Nick Welly of Tiffin, Miles Fabian of Republic, all friends of the bridegroom, and Ben Lance of Cuyahoga Falls, brother of the bridegroom.

The Davidson String Quartet provided music for the ceremony.

A reception was conducted at the Hyatt on Capital Square in Columbus. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Napa Valley, Calif.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Galion High School and a 2002 graduate of Heidelberg College. She is employed by the Pinellas County School District in Clearwater, Fla. as a music teacher.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Woodridge High School. He graduated from Heidelberg College and is employed as a licensed mortgage broker by Orion Residential Finance in Tampa, Florida.

The newlyweds reside in Clearwater.
