Real estate firm hires new employee

Sheppard Realty, 960 Portage Trail, announces the addition of Cyndy DeSantis to its staff of experienced real estate agents serving residential home sales, commercial leasing and property management needs. DeSantis has lived in Cuyahoga Falls for 15 years. She has two daughters; Jessica, an IHM alumni and a junior at Ohio State University, and Alyssa, also an IHM alumni and senior at Cuyahoga Falls High School. DeSantis spent many years assisting IHM Girl Scout troops and remains an IHM parishioner today. In her spare time, DeSantis enjoys hiking with her beagle Emmy in the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area or just around the neighborhood.

Sheppard Realty opened in Cuyahoga Falls in September 2007. Jim and Cheryl Sheppard, owner and broker, are natives of Cuyahoga Falls. Jim is a 1993 graduate of Woodridge High School, and Cheryl is a 1987 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Sheppard Realty specializes in residential sales, short sales, property management, commercial and residential leasing.

Dance Another Day for U of A

Suave spies, cunning villains, and beautiful Bond girls are invited to "Dance Another Day" on March 7 during the 2008 scholarship benefit for Dance Institute of The University of Akron.

Beginning at 6 p.m. at Fairlawn Country Club, the event features shaken, not stirred martinis, a delicious dinner, silent and oral auctions, cool music, and hot intrigue. Dress is debonair incognito.

The deadline for reservations is Feb. 25. Tickets range from $75 to $300.
