Who says that once we age, our quality of life diminishes? As we retire, we want to enjoy our life; not dwell on the fact that we have many doctors' appointments and are getting more ill. This is what we strive to accomplish at the community-based living facilities. On Thursday, January 24th, 5 Independent Living, Assisted Living and Nursing Care facilities, including The Village at St. Edward, Masonic Home in Medina, Briarwood, Summerville Camelot Place, & Meadowview Care Center gathered together to celebrate the annual SnowBowl at Lions Park Lodge in Cuyahoga Falls. This is a wellness activity that The Village at St. Edward sponsors every year. The residents were excited as they came into the lodge, ate lunch, played interactive games, had a snowball fight and shared s'mores together. This was a wonderful opportunity for the facilities to socialize and interact with each other. They're looking forward to having a pig roast summer party with many more facilities and the community. During Activity Professionals Week (January 20-26), we strive to let the community know about activities and how it improves the quality of life for our residents residing in community-based living.
