Baptist Church
Broadman Baptist Church invites the community to come celebrate the winter musical "All is calm, all is Bright" on Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

St. John's Episcopal Church will host a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner on Feb. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets for adults are $4 and children ages 12 and under are free. The church is at the corner of Second Street and Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.

Bible Church
Falls Berean Bible Church, 1736 Bailey Drive, will host a parenting seminar that will focus on "Training Children to become Godly Teenagers" on Jan. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Bailey Road
Christian Church
The Bailey Road Christian Church, located at: 3200 W. Bailey Road in Cuyahoga Falls is hosts Sunday school for classes of all ages at 9:30 a.m. and a 10:45 a.m. worship service.
The church also offers a "Just for Christ" event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sundays which includes music, games, bible study and snacks for pre-kindergarten aged children through the eighth-grade.
A new contemporary worship service is also scheduled to take place on Sundays at 7 p.m.
On Tuesdays, Cub Scouts meet at the church at 6:30 p.m. On the first and third Tuesdays of every month, "Happy Hands" sewing and craft group meets at 12:30 p.m. at the church.
On Wednesdays, choir practice takes place at the church at 7:30 p.m.
On every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m. the Girl Scouts meet at the church.
The Christian Women's Fellowship meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

First United
Methodist Church
There will be a spaghetti dinner at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls on Jan. 25 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Wesley Hall. All are welcome to this annual dinner that benefits the youth choir's upcoming spring tour to the Kentucky and Tennessee area.
Dean & Friends XV is an annual concert by organist Dean Wagner that will take place Jan. 25 at 7:30 at the church in the sanctuary. Friends performing with him this year are Nancy Daley, organ; Julie VandenBulke, flute; Bob Capes, guitar and others. Child care will be available. A free will offering benefiting First Church Arts Series will be taken.
Community members can order freshly made sub sandwiches for their Super Bowl party from the church. Sandwiches are $5 each and may be picked up at the church the afternoon of Feb. 3. The sale benefits the church's Henderson Settlement work camp mission trip this summer. Call 330-923-5241 to order.
United Presbyterian Church
Pastor Ross Slaughter continues with his series on modern day discipleship by taking a close up look at the Apostle John in a message entitled: "That You Might Believe."
United Presbyterian offers two distinct styles of worship. The traditional service starts at 8:30 a.m. and the New Creation contemporary service starts at 11 a.m. The educational hour is between the two services beginning at 9:45 a.m. with small group ministry for all ages. Child care is available on Sunday morning. Parking is convenient on church property. All are welcome.
UPC Craft and Hobby Night, this Sunday afternoon, runs from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Anyone who does a handicraft is welcome to come any time during that time to work on their projects and enjoy the company of others.
UPC is participating in the "Souper Bowl of Caring" food drive this year. Those coming to worship are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item. The final collection day will be Feb. 3.

The ten-week Wednesday Night Alive! is under way offering a wide range of faith-in-life options. At 5:15 p.m. the Rev. Dr. Richard Hassler will be basing his course on his recent book "Surprises Around The Bend: 50 Adventurous Walkers" exploring the lives of such notables as John Bunyan, Henry Thoreau, John Muir, Harriet Tubman, C.S. Lewis, Theodore Roosevelt, Mother Teresa and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
At 6:45 p.m. two other faith-in-life options will be offered at WNA!. "Water Cooler Christianity" explores how to talk about faith in the workplace when those kinds of conversations happen between people. This course will draw on the book "What's So Great About Christianity?" by Dinesh D'Souza and will be facilitated by Pastor Slaughter.
The other WNA! evening option is "Getting The Most Out Of Your Bible" in conjunction with the "Year of the Bible 2008." This course is designed for anyone who is new to the Bible and wants to develop a good spiritual strategy for reading and drawing from it. This will be facilitated by Kathy Craddock and Douglas Steidl. The Wednesday Night Alive! Program also offers a variety of activities for children and teens and it hosts a family style supper from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Church of Christ
Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd. in downtown Cuyahoga Falls, hosts worship service every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
The Rev. Kirk Bruce provides the Sunday message.
Following the service a social hour takes place downstairs in the Social Hall where coffee and refreshments are served.
Pilgrim is handicapped accessible.
Sundays at 9:30 a.m. children may attend L.I.G.H.T.
(Learning in God's House Together).
At 9:30 a.m. on Sundays adults have two choices of ways to study God's words. Conversation and coffee are offered in the Pilgrim Library or adults may go to the Heritage Room for coffee and quiet meditation.
Tuesday mornings at 10 Bible Study meets in the Pilgrim Library.
The second Sunday of every month at 6 p.m. the singles group meets for food and socializing. This group is designed for singles ages 30 to 65.
The third Thursday of every month the Women's friendship circle meets. This group's activities change monthly. Some events take place at the church while others are at various local attractions.
Twice a week students from DeWitt Elementary come to Pilgrim after school for help with their homework.
Pilgrim hosts a Montessori Preschool in its building. Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Emotions Anonymous, and AA also meet at Pilgrim Church.

Church of Christ
Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd., announces the following programs and services:
The congregation will participate in an evening of gospel music, fellowship and praise as members honor the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King and the church's partnership with New Trinity. Bethany's Bell Choir, the New Trinity Praise Dancers and the voices of both congregations will join in song and celebration on Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. at New Trinity Missionary Baptist Church,1380 Hartford Ave., Akron. The next Youth Fellowship Donato's Night is Jan. 30.
Ten percent of the receipts and tips are tithed to Bethany, 10 percent goes to the youth account and 80 percent goes to support the youth mission trip.
Gifts of infant care items will continue to be collected through January and may be brought to the table in the social hall.
The gifts will be used to assist babies and their families served by Good Neighbors, Interfaith Hospitality Network and Williard Food Pantry.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the second Monday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the lounge. All are welcome as the group knits shawls for those who need prayers. Bethany saves Acme receipts that help youth go on their annual mission trip.

Grandview United Methodist Church
Grandview United Methodist Church, 2315 Phelps Ave.,has Sunday School Classes at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. There are two adult classes, one younger adult class and four classes for children, one preschool, one elementary, one upper elementary and one teenage class. The church's worship service is at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The first Sunday of every month following the worship service, First Fellowship time takes place where everyone enjoys coffee or punch, bakery items and casual conversation. Blood pressure screening is also done during that time. In the fellowship hall, Mothers of Twins group meets the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. and every Friday AA members meet at 7 p.m. The UMW Sewing Group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. to do mission projects.
