Christian Church
Bailey Road Christian Church will host Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages. Worship service is at 10:45 a.m. Just For Christ is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. JFC is music, games, Bible study and snacks for children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Cub Scouts meet every Tuesday at the church at 6:30 p.m. The choir practices every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. On the first and third Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m., "Happy Hands (a sewing and crafts group) meets. Girl Scouts meet every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The Christian Women's Fellowship meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. The group is studying the book, "Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs.

Evangelical Church
Sunday school at St. Luke's Evangelical Church, 2121 Sixth St., Cuyahoga Falls, will not take place Dec. 30. The regular Sunday school schedule will resume Jan. 6 during the 11 a.m. service.

Silver Lake
The Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Road, is a spiritual wellness center. The church offers a weekly Bible study class each Thursday at 12:30. The church also provides "Lunch On Us" the first Saturday of each month beginning at 11:30 a.m. The weekly Sunday worship service is at 10:30 a.m.

First United
Methodist Church
Mount Union College Choir will be performing at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls on Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m.. One of the nation's oldest choral ensembles, the 44-voice choir has performed concerts in China, India, Malaysia, Norway, Turkey and most recently, Ireland. The choir is led by Dr. Scott W. Dorsey, Director of Choral Activities at Mount Union and its repertoire spans 1,200 years of music history with something for virtually everyone from the sublime to the silly. All are invited to this evening of beautiful choral music. There will be child care available and a free will offering will be taken that evening.
United Presbyterian Church
Pastor Ross Slaughter will continue with his series on modern day discipleship focusing on Advent Disciples. This week he will be highlighting the significance of Joseph, the earthly step-father of Jesus, drawing from Matthew 1 and 2 in a message entitled "Joseph -- Dreamer, Protector, Disciple."
United Presbyterian offers two distinct styles of worship. The traditional service starts at 8:30 a.m. and the new creation contemporary service starts at 11 a.m. The educational hour is between the two services beginning at 9:45 a.m. with small group ministry for all ages. Childcare is available on Sunday morning. Parking is available on church property and everyone is welcome to attend.

Pilgrim United
Church of Christ
Pilgrim United Church of Christ wishes everyone a Happy New Year and also invites community members to join in any of the activities available throughout the year at Pilgrim. Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. and is followed by a coffee hour in the Social Hall. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. Adults who prefer to have coffee and meditate individually during Sunday School may do so in the Heritage Room. Pilgrim is located on the corner of Broad Boulevard and Second Street in downtown Cuyahoga Falls.
On Jan. 6, join Pilgrim for the 10:30 a.m. worship service then stay for a pot luck lunch to celebrate Epiphany. During his morning message, the Rev. Kirk Bruce will be discussing: "What is Epiphany and why do we celebrate it?" Those staying for lunch are asked to bring a vegetable, or meat dish to share. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
On Jan. 13, the Pilgrim Singles Group will meet in the Social Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. to make Hobo Stew and watch a movie. Those attending are asked to bring a canned vegetable to add to the stew and their own nonalcoholic beverage. The singles group meets the second Sunday of every month. Singles between the ages of 30-65 are welcomed to join. The group is nondenominational and has no dues. A free will donation is taken to help defer the costs of the food and paper products.
On Jan. 17 at 7 p.m., the Women's Friendship Circle will meet in the Social Hall. The women may either make a Valentine gift or play a game. Friendship Circle meets the third Thursday of each month.

First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls
On Dec. 30 at 10:45 a.m. First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls will have a carol sing and share favorite Christmas gifts. This is an informal time focused on children. The congregation will also gather around the communion table to share the Lord's Supper.
On Jan. 6 at 10:45 a.m. the church will celebrate Epiphany Sunday with the visit of the Magi. It will be a service of drama, readings, music and communion to celebrate the journey of the Magi that unveiled the light of God to all the world. For more information, contact the church at 330-928-4098.

All are invited to join the church, located at 1235 Broad Boulevard for worship Sunday, Dec. 30 when the Chancel Choir will sing during the 8:30 a.m. service and the youth, 7th Day, during the 10:30 a.m. service. The Bethany Buckeyes -- a fun group of 50 years of age or older. individuals/couples -- will meet Jan. 4 for a meal and games. All are welcome. Bethany saves Acme receipts that help the church's youth go on their annual mission trip. Drop any off to the church office.
