Word of His Grace Fellowship is hosting a Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness Training (C.A.T. EYES) Day on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is sponsored by the Summit County Sheriff's office at no cost to the public.
The C.A.T. EYES program teaches what the indicators of terrorism are and how to properly report those indicators. Topics that will be covered include "5 steps to defeat terrorism," "notice your environment," and "detecting terrorism/surveillance."

Grandview United Methodist Church
Grandview United Methodist Church at the corner of Phelps and 23rd Street, is having the dedication service and concert of the Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece 958 Organ on Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. Performing this free concert are Terry Brassell and David Powers from the T. S. Good Church Organ Company. Community members are invited to this inaugural concert. Refreshments will be served following the program.

The church will host a public book and audio-visual sale on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is a fundraiser for the church's building fund. Cub Scouts will meet every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and the choir will practice every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Happy Hands (sewing and crafts) will meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 12:30 p.m. Girl Scouts will meet every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Christian Women's Fellowship will be studying the book "Bad Girls of the Bible," by Liz Curtis Higgs. The group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

The Church in Silver Lake
The Church in Silver Lake will host worship services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Child care and Sunday School take place during worship.
The church hosts, "Lunch On Us," the first Saturday of every month at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome; a free-will offering is accepted, but not required.

Pilgrim United Church of Christ
Pilgrim United Church of Christ, located on Broad Boulevard and Second Street in downtown Cuyahoga Falls, has many activities planned for the fall and winter. Everyone is invited to come to any of these events and are welcome to worship at 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
There are two Bible Study classes. One meets on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the church's library. The other class also meets in the church library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. New participants are always welcome.
The bell choir has room for anyone wishing to join. They have rehearsals at the church Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
On Nov. 11, Pilgrim Church will be honoring all veterans during the morning worship service. A salute to the Armed Forces will be performed by a group of high school students. After the service there will be a carry-in lunch with hot sandwiches provided by the church. All community members are invited to attend.
The second meeting for singles will also take place at the church on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. This is a nondenominational event. All singles between the ages of 30 and 65 are invited to Pilgrim's social hall for Game Night Roulette. Attendees will change from table to table playing different games while meeting different people. Pizza will be ordered and guests are asked to bring a small snack and money toward the pizza.
The Boy Scout troop at Pilgrim would like to have the names and addresses of military personnel so that they can send them packages. The troop is also accepting donations for these packages both material and monetary. Call Cub Master Jean Hudson for more information at 330-922-5486.

United Presbyterian Church
United Presbyterian Church offers a full Sunday morning ministry. Traditional worship begins at 8:30 a.m. and the New Creation contemporary service begins at 11 a.m. The educational hour is between the two services, beginning at 9:45 a.m. with small group ministry for all ages. Child care is available on Sunday morning. Parking is convenient on church property. All are welcome.
On Oct. 28, Pastor Ross Slaughter's message on modern day discipleship will be supplemented by a continuing drama series: "Church with Dick and Jane." Dick and Jane, played by Keith and Sue Kemmerline, are two people in today's world that deal in some way with the growing awareness of God in their lives. The original script for this series is by Laurie Piascik.
This Sunday evening the Youth Groups for Middle School and Senior High teens will meet at the church from 7 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday Night ALIVE!, a mid-week, whole-family program of study and fellowship, will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a family style dinner at 6 p.m. There is a wide variety of topics of interest designed to help people grow in their awareness of God in their daily living.

Bethany United Church of Christ
Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd., announces the following programs and services:
* Oct. 28 is the fourth Sunday of the month, which means it is Family Sunday at the church and this means the children of Bethany (Son Singers/Young Shepherds) will be singing at the 10:30 worship service. It will also be A Celebration of Congregation Life ~ we have much to celebrate about our life and ministry together.
* The next Youth Fellowship Donato's night is Oct. 31. Ten percent of the receipts and tips are tithed to Bethany, 10 percent goes to the youth account and 80 percent goes to support the youth mission trip.
* Bethany Buckeyes is 6 p.m. on Nov. 2. Attendees are asked to call in their reservation. There will be games, food and fellowship. Bethany offers many ways for adults to learn and grow in faith on Sunday mornings. They include: Bible Discoveries - studies one of the books of the Bible; Lounge Class - discusses a variety of current faith topics; Perspectives - discusses faith issues in current films; Seasons of the Spirit - discusses the biblical themes from that Sunday's worship; Seekers - discusses a variety of contemporary faith issues; Upper Room - connects the scripture for Sunday worship with life and faith. All of these classes gather between 9:15 and 9:30 and end by 10:20 in time for the second worship service at 10:30. Bethany's youth fellowship is collecting ACME receipts to help with the cost of their annual mission trip. Save receipts and drop them off at the church office. First United Methodist Church
First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls is having a fun "All Hallows Eve" party for kids in 4th - 6th grade on Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be games, crafts, a cooking craft, stories and more. Children should wear their costume. The Wednesday R.O.C.K (The Reality of Christ for Kids and Adults) group will meet earlier that day and involves a 4 p.m. Homework Club, 4:30 choir for ages preschool through sixth grade, rhythm, bells and chimes classes, a light dinner, and other interesting activities. A Parent Support Group meets at the church for parents of a child of any age who has been in trouble in school, has been arrested or incarcerated, has been diagnosed with mental illness, has chosen an alternative lifestyle, struggled with maintaining relationships or has a substance abuse problem The mission of this group will be to provide confidential advice and prayerful support from parents who share similar experiences.
