Did You Know . . .? The Friends of Cuyahoga Falls Library help initiate and support many services that cannot be included in the library's tax supported budget. The generous support of the Friends makes possible free programs, newsletters, holiday decorations, printing supplies and the purchase of various pieces of needed equipment. Located on the corner of Third Street and Broad Boulevard in Cuyahoga Falls, the library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Fall program brochures are available in the literature racks in the library. All library programs are free and open to the public.

Tuning forks for healing therapy
On Oct. 22 at 7 p.m., explore vibrational energy healing using tuning forks of the ancient solfeggio frequencies. Learn how sound frequencies affect our physical bodies, cells, DNA, emotions and health. Registration for this free program is requested.
Tax strategies for IRA owners
On Oct. 23 at 2 p.m., representatives from the Milestone Center will be presenting information to help IRA owners who are facing Required Minimum Distributions at age 70 now or in the near future. Participants will learn how to apply the new tax laws, how to protect their heirs from losing IRA assets, tax saving strategies and about Roth IRA conversions. Registration is required.
Selling on eBay
Learn step-by-step just how easy it can be to sell on eBay with Beverly Blass on Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Hand-outs will be included with shortcuts and helpful hints.
Grave sights
See Ohio's tombstone artwork from the Civil War era to late Victorian times with Ellen Powers on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. People of this era tended to flaunt their wealth with elaborate tombstones. See and hear about ornate "white bronze" monuments (that were actually cast zinc) that could be manufactured faster and cheaper than marble or granite.

On Oct. 25 at 7 p.m., see the splendor of the Rocky Mountains with Robert McPherson.
Friday Afterschool Flicks
Make plans to see "Cars" on Oct. 26 at 3:30. Hotshot rookie race car Lightning McQueen is living life in the fast lane until he hits a detour on his way to the most important race of his life. Stranded in Radiator Springs, a forgotten town on old Route 66, he meets Sally, Mater, Doc Hudson and a variety of quirky characters who help him discover that there's more to life than trophies and fame.
