Tag Day is Sept. 8
On Sept. 8, all students will be asking for donations from Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake residents from 10 a.m. (9 a.m. at some business locations) to 1:30 p.m.
Tag Day is a major fundraiser sponsored by the Instrumental Music Patrons, the band boosters for all band students in the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools. This fundraiser supports all of the public school bands from the fifth grade through the 12th grade. Participation in Tag Day comes from eighth grade students from both Bolich and Roberts middle school bands, as well as students from the high school wind ensemble and marching band.
The band students at the high school alone average more than 100 hours per student each year practicing for, and performing in more than 30 concerts, band shows and other events throughout the school year.
Funds received from Tag Day will be used to purchase new uniforms for each year's larger bands, repair or replace uniforms as needed, repair and replace instruments and other equipment, and purchase music. Approximately 220 students and 60 adults will be participating in Tag Day. The goal this year is to raise $10,000.

Leave your 'paw' print
at Falls High
The junior class of Cuyahoga Falls High School is asking residents to "Show your Pride! Buy a Tiger Paw!" to support their fund-raiser.
A family's or company's name will be printed on their very own paw print outside Falls High.
Paws are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. All proceeds go to the Class of 2009 prom fund. Send names, addresses, phone numbers and messages to be painted on the paw to the attention of Emily Fox at Cuyahoga Falls High School, 2300 Fourth St., Cuyahoga Falls 44221.
Make checks payable to Cuyahoga Falls High School, Attn: Junior Class. Indicate if you would like a paw: on Stow Street (minimum donation of $10); in the parking lot (minimum donation of $20); or in the stadium (minimum donation of $30).
