Grandmother of five
Josephine Devine DiMascio, 88, died Aug. 13, 2010 after a year-long battle with cancer.
Over the years she worked at various jewelry and women's clothing stores, but her most cherished job was looking after and enjoying family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Onofrio and Eleanore Schiavone; sister, Irene; brother, Jack (Rose) Schiavone; husband of 64 years, Albert; sons Phillip and Onofrio; and grandson, Phil Jr. She is survived by son, Joseph (Debra) DiMascio; daughter, Alberta Paula Gahera; daughter-in-law, Kathy DiMascio; grandchildren, Monica and Erica DiMascio, Christopher (Sandy) DiMascio, Tony (Tammy) DiMascio, and Mike DiMascio; great-grandchildren, Kim DiMascio, Nicole and Jessie DiMascio; great-great-grandchildren, Augustan and Julia; and two sisters that talked to each other every day, Teresa (Leslie) Kerr and Mary (Tony) Manago.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Final resting place is in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
