Hooked on Books This afternoon book club meets every first Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. The Sept. 3 discussion will be on "Shelter Me" by Juliette Fay. American Red Cross blood drive The Cuyahoga Falls Library will be hosting a blood drive in the Sutliff Meeting Room on Sept. 7 from noon to 6 p.m. Call 1-800-GIVE LIFE to schedule an appointment. All blood types and walk-ins are welcome as scheduling permits. Anime Club Teens and young adults are invited to drop in and check out the Anime Club on Sept. 8 and 22 at 7 p.m. The club is currently viewing episodes of "InuYasha" and "Soul Eater." Cuyahoga Falls Library requests parental permission for all young adults under 15 to view films that are recommended for ages 16 and up. Check out a wide array of volunteer opportunities near you. After you've registered, you can browse projects and volunteer for worthwhile causes. UGIVE is focused on students, so parents, teachers and schools know that the volunteer activities are appropriate for high school students. New for you at Falls Library New books hot off the press this week include "Body Work" by Sara Paretsky, "Lost Empire" by Clive Cussler, "Legends of Shannara" by Terry Brooks, "Tan Lines" by Bob Adamov and "The Ghost and the Goth" by Stacey Kade. Did you know? For patron use, the library sells 2G flash memory drives for $7.50 at the circulation desk. USB flash drives are more reliable than floppy disks because they have no moving parts and have a more durable design. Located on the corner of Third Street and Broad Boulevard in Cuyahoga Falls, the library is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
