Learn the latest scams targeting the military population and how to guard against them on Sept. 12, when a representative from Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray's office speaks to the United States Marine Corps Family and Friends of Summit County.

The event will take place Sept. 12 at 3:15 p.m. at the Riverfront YMCA, 544 Broad Blvd.

Scams tend to increase during tough economic times, according to Attorney General Cordray. Active duty military are particularly vulnerable because they are often young, have a steady income, are isolated from family members and frequently relocate.
