Grove City College Ingrid McGuckin, a freshman from Cuyahoga Falls, was honored with induction into Crown and Sceptre at the 2010 Recognition Convocation at the end of the academic year at Grove City College. The sophomore women's honorary recognizes those who display scholarship, leadership and service during their freshman year. Freshman women who attain a 3.0 GPA or better during their first semester are invited to apply. Andrew Patterson, a junior from Cuyahoga Falls, was honored with induction into the Alpha Theta Mu chapter of Mortar Board and the Betu Mu circle of Omicron Delta Kappa at the 2010 Recognition Convocation at the end of the academic year at Grove City College. Mortar Board is the national senior honorary on campus. Annually, junior men and women with high scholastic achievement and who have contributed outstanding leadership and service to the college are tapped for membership. Membership in the Omicron Delta Kappa national honor society is one of the highest honors that a Grove City College student can attain. ODK recognizes juniors and seniors for their outstanding leadership to the college in the areas of scholarship, athletics, social service, religious activities, campus government, journalism, speech, mass media, and creative and performing arts.
