I would like to commend Capt. Randy Rivers on his 30 years of service with the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and wish him a well-earned retirement. As explained in last week's paper ("Falls Police captain retires with 'head held high,'" Aug. 15, Page 3), one of Capt. Rivers' greatest memories was that of saving a 5-week-old child who had stopped breathing. If it were not for Capt. Rivers and his quick thinking, I, that child, would not be alive today. Thank you very much Capt. Rivers. I hope your retirement is just as memorable, and you are memorable to those you have helped. Bart Sullivan Cuyahoga Falls Comments
