Natatorium 5K Race is Sept. 19
Celebrating its seventh year on Sept. 19, The Natatorium 5K Run has been selected by the Road Runners Club of America as the State Championship for the 5K distance for 2010. According to race director Julie O'Connell, "We are very pleased to be selected as the State 5K Championship and look forward to meeting the high standards of hosting a RRCA Championship race."
In conjunction with the North Coast Road Runners Club (NCRRC), the Natatorium 5K run offers a challenging certified 5K course and also an event that will draw more than 700 entrants for the coming year.
The race participants will also be treated to a sports and fitness expo and a post-race awards ceremony with food and beverages provided by many local vendors.
Day-of race registration and packet pickup will be available starting at 7:15 a.m. Pre-registration and packet pickup will be available at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St., on Sept. 18, from noon to 5 p.m. Online registration is available at www.active.com.
