Aug. 23

* The Riverfront Cruise-In continues from 5 to 9 p.m. on Falls River Square.

* Silver Lake Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. in Village Hall, 2961 Kent Road.

* Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library, 2300 Fourth St.

Aug. 24

* Today is the first day of classes for all students in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District and for students in first grade through 12th grade in the Woodridge Local School District.

Aug. 26

* Flicks on the Falls will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. at Falls River Square. "The Wizard of Oz" will be shown.

Aug. 27

* The Falls Farmer's Market takes place from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Civic complex parking lot (corner of Second Street & Stow Avenue).

* Rockin' on the River takes place at Falls River Square from 5 to 11:30 p.m.

* High School Football: Louisville at Walsh Jesuit, 7 p.m.

* High School Football: East Canton at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, 7 p.m.

* High School Football: Barberton at Cuyahoga Falls, 7 p.m.
