John W. Frost, age 88, died July 18, 2010 after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Akron, on Aug. 7, 1921 he moved with his family to England during the Great Depression. He and his wife Ruby returned to Cuyahoga Falls in 1954 where they have resided for the past 56 years. He retired in 1981, after 27 years of service with the Akron Tool and Die Co. He was an avid reader, nature lover and motorcycle and car racing enthusiast.
Preceded in death by his three sisters, Vera, Winnie and Mary, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruby; son, Peter (Diane) of Georgia; daughter, Stephanie (Ken) Filing of Cuyahoga Falls.; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral mass took place at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Joseph Church, 215 Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls 44221.
