Nicole Katherine Zitzmann and Scott Anthony Sheaffer were wed Oct. 17, 2009 at The Chapel in Akron. The bride is the daughter of George and Denise Zitzmann of Munroe Falls. The bridegroom is the son of Joyce Sheaffer of Randolph and Philip Sheaffer of Louisville. The ceremony, which featured the colors of purple and silver, was officiated by the Rev. Kevin Poest. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin charmeuse gown in diamond white by Allure. It had a bubble hem with two asymmetrical pickups on a diagonal that continued around to the back of the dress. The gown was fitted through the hips with three pleats across the bodice and at the waist. It was embellished with beaded Alencon lace at the waist and over the pleating. The gown laced up the back and below the laces was a trail of covered buttons down to finish the chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, surrounded by delicate white orchids and calla lilies. Serving as the matron of honor was Taylor Lombardi of Cuyahoga Falls, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rachel Fairfax, Cassie Capaldo and Carly Haver, all of Akron and friends of the bride; and Beth Sheaffer of Randolph, sister of the bridegroom. Junior bridesmaid was Leslie Kolb of Cuyahoga Falls, friend of the bride. Daniel Sheaffer of Hagerstown, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Jonathan Sheaffer of Sante Fe, N.M., brother of the bridegroom; and Jared Deiberato of Cuyahoga Falls, Charles Ridley of Akron, David Harris of Rootstown and Joseph Tucker of Akron, all friends of the bridegroom. Junior groomsmen were Curtis Kolb and Evan Kolb of Cuyahoga Falls, friends of the bride. Special guests included Mr. and Mrs. William Fotopulos, grandparents of the bride; Mrs. Olga Zitzmann, grandmother of the bride; Miss Dawn Fotopulos, aunt of the bride; Mrs. Madeline Masser, aunt of the bride; and Mrs. Titsa Pelzmann, great-aunt of the bride. A reception took place at St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Church. The couple honeymooned in Aruba and are residing in Columbus. The bride is a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. She also graduated from Stark State College with a degree as a physical therapist assistant. She is employed by Ohio Health in Columbus. The bridegroom is a graduate of Waterloo High School and the University of Akron. He is a student for a doctorate in physical therapy at Ohio State University for physical therapy. He is employed by Novacare Rehabilitation in Columbus. Comments
