Ashley Barker and Matthew Steele, together with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Gary and Kathy Barker of Cadiz. She is a 2000 graduate of Harrison Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Malone University.
While living in Washington, D.C., Ashley received master's degrees of divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and of non-profit management from American University. As a United Methodist Church pastor, Ashley serves Real Life Community of Faith in Morristown.
Her fiancé is the son of Craig and Susan Steele of Cuyahoga Falls. He is a 1999 graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, a 2003 graduate of Malone University and received engineering degrees from the University of Akron in 2007. Matthew manages federal infrastructure design in Pittsburgh as a senior engineer with the Maguire Group Inc.
An August wedding is planned at the Oglebay Outdoor Amphitheater in Wheeling, W.Va.
