Goodwill names new chief financial officer

Michael R. Kisha began his role June 14 as the chief financial officer of Goodwill Industries of Akron, serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties.

Kisha will lead the agency's finance and administration division and will have primary responsibility for the agency's books of record and for its accounting, information technology, and facilities planning, operations and maintenance functions. He brings with him diverse P&L experience in highly competitive manufacturing environments and he is an experienced leader who has grown businesses, turned around under-performing businesses, optimized profitability, and built motivated teams.

He joins Goodwill after director of finance and CFO roles at Tegrant Corporation, Protexic Brands; Colfor Manufacturing Inc. (a division of American Axle Manufacturing Corporation); Avery Dennison's Industrial Products Division; and as a general manager role at Avery Dennison's Automotive Products Division.

Kisha holds a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron and a bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College. He is active in several job support and networking groups, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a Business Coach at E CITY Business Academy.
