Cuyahoga Falls -- Police arrested a 22-year-old Falls man June 2 in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle the night before. A Twinsburg man reported on June 1 that someone entered his vehicle by unknown means while it was parked in the 1700 block of State Road between 10 and 11:30 p.m. and stole his GPS unit, a cell phone charger and an Ohio State cornhole set. Estimated loss was $375. The Falls man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property after he was found in possession of the items which the Twinsburg man had reported stolen. All of the stolen items were recovered and the subject was issued a summons to appear in court. Burglary June 7 -- Cash stolen. A resident of the 2900 block of Bailey Road reported someone entered his house between 10 p.m. June 3 and 6:30 p.m. June 4 and stole $3,000 in cash from his bedroom. The victim said he believes the suspect likely went into his house during the daytime hours June 3 while his elderly mother was in the backyard after leaving the front and side doors unlocked. Attempted breaking and entering June 7 -- Eatery's door pried open. The manager of a carryout restaurant in the 1900 block of Portage Trail reported someone between May 31 and June 7 pried open the back door of the business with an unknown object. Entry was not made, the report said. Damage was estimated at $75. Casualty June 7 -- Resident found deceased. Police responded to a casualty call around 2 p.m. in the 4200 block of Americana Drive where the manager of an apartment complex reported noticing an odor coming from one of the apartments. The Falls Fire Department responded and found the 46-year-old female resident unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at 2:10 p.m. by an Akron City Hospital doctor. According to the report, the woman's death occurred between May 4 and June 7. Public indecency June 6 -- Man exposes himself. A female resident of Olive Place reported that a man pulled down his pants and exposed his buttocks to her and her two juvenile nieces riding with her as she pulled into her driveway at 5:30 p.m. The woman was referred to the prosecutor. Burglary June 4 -- Wallet stolen. A resident of the 4100 block of Americana Drive reported someone entered his unlocked apartment and stole his wallet between 9 p.m. June 2 and 4:30 a.m. June 3 while he wasn't home. The wallet contained $224 in cash, his driver's license, the title to his car, and a food stamp credit card. His loss was $280, the report said. Identity fraud June 3 -- Stuck in Wales? A Falls man reported someone fraudulently took over his e-mail account and changed his password and security questions. Then, using the victim's e-mail address, the suspect sent e-mails soliciting money from contacts in the victim's address book. Posing as the victim, the suspect claimed he was stranded in Wales, United Kingdom. Burglary May 30 -- Spooked intruder. A 20-year-old resident of the 100 block of West Steels Corners Road reported someone broke a window in the man door of his father's garage between 2 and 3 a.m., however, entry was not made into the house because the suspect was scared off by the 20-year-old, the report said. Damage was estimated at $150. Village of Silver Lake May 29 -- Driver cited in crash. A 59-year-old Silver Lake man was cited for failure to yield the right of way following an accident on Kent Road that injured a motorcycle rider. A 21-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Kent Road in the curb lane shortly after 1 p.m. The 59-year-old man was traveling westbound on Kent Road in the middle lane, and was stopped in traffic to turn left into his driveway. The 59-year-old said when the path appeared clear in the eastbound curb lane, he made his turn into the driveway. As he was turning, the 59-year-old man said he saw a motorcycle in the eastbound curb lane go down on its left side. The report said the 21-year-old man had to lay down his motorcycle to avoid a collision with the 59-year-old man's vehicle. The 59-year-old man finished turning into his driveway and said he then helped the motorcycle rider off the road. According to police, the 21-year-old motorcycle rider was treated at the scene for a minor road abrasion and then released. June 7 -- Money missing. A Silver Lake resident reported he was advised by his bank of a money transfer and of attempts to cash checks from his bank account. The man said he had a new account opened and similar attempts were made from this account, too. The man told police that he is aware of $15,700 that has been removed from his account. Police say the case remains under investigation. June 5 -- Man approaches girls. A Stow woman said her two juvenile daughters were walking along Silver Lake Boulevard when an unknown man driving in a vehicle stopped and talked to them around 4 p.m. According to the report, the man wanted to know if he could take pictures of the girls and he was holding a camera phone. The girls told him "no," and continued walking toward Graham Road. The man continued to drive up and down the street a couple more times The man is described as between the ages of 35 and 45, with brown hair with traces of gray hair, and a brown goatee. The report stated he was driving an "older, junkie-looking" white vehicle, make unknown.
