Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute will celebrate "New Beginnings" when it hosts a community open house on June 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new Edwin Shaw in Cuyahoga Falls.
Edwin Shaw moved from its previous location in Lakemore to 330 Broadway East in Cuyahoga Falls last December. The new location, just off state Route 8 at the Broad Boulevard exit, is much more centralized for the Shaw patients and offers easier access for patients and their families.
The building features more than 30 private rooms, expanded family areas and 10 acres of landscaped grounds.
The public is invited to view the new Edwin Shaw during the June 12 event. There will be tours and free health screenings. Balloons for the kids and refreshments for all will also be provided. WNIR 100 FM will broadcast live from the event.
