St. John's Episcopal Church May 23 is the deadline to sign up for the Aeros baseball game. The game is June 8 and St. John's will enjoy a meal before the game and then sit together as a group. Northminster Presbyterian Church The Northminster Presbyterian Church, located at 104 W. One can sell treasures, toys, crafts, woodworking items, records, antiques and furniture. The flea market will be at St. Joseph's School, 1090 Third St. Each space is $20 (approximately 5 feet by 9 feet). Those who confirm their space by May 28 will get two spaces for $25. First United Methodist Church On May 23, the church will be honoring their graduating high school seniors at the 8:30 a.m. worship service with a reception following. That evening, there will be a banquet for all youth and their families, honoring the seniors and celebrating their year of activities and spring tour. Also on May 23, the congregation will be recognizing teachers as well as celebrating Pentecost by bringing in red geraniums which will be used to decorate the church grounds for the summer. Registration is now open for Galactic Blast Vacation Bible School at First Church during the week of June 21-25 from 9 am to noon. It is for children ages 3 and potty trained to children entering fourth grade. There is also Survivor Challenge Galactic Style for kids entering fifth and sixth grade which is a hands on mission program. The cost is $5 per child for the week or a maximum of $10 for a family. Also offered will be Galactic Blast Extreme Day Camp which is a full day option for kids entering first through sixth grade. For this option there is an additional $50 for the week per child or $45 for each additional child from the same family. Space is limited for day camp. Sponsor one mile, ten miles, 20 miles or more. The next date to "Eat & Earn at Donatos" on State Road is May 27. Participants should mention that they are a Pilgrim when they place an order for dine-in or carry out from 5-8 p.m. and a portion of the purchases will be contributed to the church. This program earned Pilgrim $200 in 2009, and has earned the church $75 so far this year. The youth will meet at the church at 6:20 p.m. on June 4 to go to Laser Quest (80 Brookmont Drive, Akron) to play 2 two games of laser tag. The youth fund will cover the cost for any youth fellowship members, guest cost is $8. Youth are asked to bring a snack to share. RSVP with Jo Green at 330-945-4166 by May 30. Green said that working with the Youth Group for the past 2 1/2 years has been a learning experience. "These youth show great spiritual knowledge and belief," she said. Green said she will miss working the church's young people. "They can and will contribute a positive influence in Pilgrim's future," she said, adding that she needs to "devote my time to becoming Mrs. Robert Kindel. Green and Kindel are getting married June 13.
