A guy has been divorced from his wife for three years. His ex-wife is temperamental and abusive. She even shoots his dog. The guy since has found another girl, regarded to be a sweetheart (and not to mention a good cook).

So what do you think are the guy's near future plans? Why, to break up with his current girlfriend so he can win back his ex-wife.

That's the general synopsis of "Italian American Reconciliation," on stage at Weathervane Playhouse through May 16. The play, written by John Patrick Shanley, is directed by Jim Fippin.

Huey (played by Michael James Olson) is the guy in question. He manages to coax his best friend Aldo (played by Jeremy Jenkins) in the plot to win back his ex-wife Janice (played by Amanda K. Davis). Aldo also serves as a sort of narrator as the story slowly progresses.

Also in the cast are Kaycee Zack who plays the spurned girlfriend Teresa, Marci Paolucci who plays May and Elyse Ramirez who plays Elyse.

The play runs about two hours, with a 15-minute intermission.
