Suspected pot pipes found on alleged burglar

A 19-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with burglary and drug paraphernalia after he allegedly climbed through the second-story window of an occupied home in the 3100 block of Atterbury Street at 2:30 a.m. April 26. Police said the man had two pipes containing a suspected marijuana residue.

Burglary

April 25 -- Five grand missing. An Akron man reported someone entered his part-time residence in the 500 block of Center Avenue and stole $5,100 between March 10 and 7:16 p.m. April 25. There were no signs of forced entry, the report said.

April 25 -- I want my stuff! A resident of the 2300 block of Bailey Road reported her ex-boyfriend kicked in the back door of her home shortly before 1 p.m. and told her he wanted the rest of his belongings. The suspect told police he didn't have a key to the house. No charges were filed and the woman was referred to the prosecutor.

Assault

April 25 -- Boy shot with BB. A Falls man reported his 5-year-old son was shot in the leg with a BB gun in the 500 block of Notre Dame Avenue around 9 p.m. The boy was not injured, police said.

April 25 -- Fight on Front Street. A Falls woman reported a man she knows grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground twice outside of a club in the 2200 block of Front Street at 10:45 p.m. after a verbal altercation inside a club where she said the man called her names and told her to stay away when she tried to be friends with him. The woman had a bruised side and tailbone, police said, but there was no medical treatment or transport. The victim was referred to the prosecutor.

Accident

April 20 -- Car vs. bike. A Falls girl, 8, riding a bicycle was possibly injured after she reportedly darted into traffic in the 600 block of Marguerite Avenue and, according to the report, was struck by a car shortly after 4 p.m. The car driven by a 46-year-old Falls man was westbound on Marguerite when the girl, who was eastbound on the sidewalk on the north side of the street, turned into the roadway. The girl was transported to Akron Children's Hospital, the report said. No one was cited. No information on the girl's condition was available from the hospital.
