United Way of Summit County recently had a drawing for a trip to Los Angeles to visit the set of the hit CBS-TV show "CSI: NY." The grand prize winner is Vicky Scott of Silver Lake.
Scott will receive airfare for two (up to $1,000 value) on AirTran Airlines, a four night stay at a Los Angeles-area Starwood Hotel, a tour of the set of the show and autographed memorabilia.
The raffle was sponsored by CBS-TV, AirTran Airlines, Allstate Insurance and State & Federal Communications, and the proceeds (nearly $3,000) will benefit United Way of Summit County. A video of the raffle drawing is online at: http://www.uwsummit.org/misc/LAandCSINY.htm
"CSI: NY" is a police procedural drama series now in its sixth season airing on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Akron native Melina Kanakaredes is one of the stars of this popular show.
