Piermarini makes states for Walsh bowling

Walsh Jesuit sophmore bowler Chris Piermarini advance to the state bowling tournament after finishing second at the district tournament with 727 pins.

The district tournament was hosted by Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton.

Piermarini led the Walsh boys team to a seventh-place finish at districts with 4,145 pins. Unfortunately, the top six teams and indivdiuals at districts advanced to states.

The boys state bowling tournament was set for March 5 at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe (results were not available at press time).

Meanwhile, the Walsh Jesuit girls bowlers took part in the girls district tournament at Hall of Fame Lanes Feb. 28. Walsh finished in 15th place with a scored 3,566 pins.
