Johnson, Skinner wed

Katie Johnson and Trent Skinner were united in marriage Sept. 26, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

The Rev. Marvin Brown officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Craig and Sally Johnson of Munroe Falls. The bridegroom is the son of Norvin and Tonia Skinner of Tallmadge.

The wedding featured the colors of champagne, black and white.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silky taffeta with a sweetheart neckline and ruched bodice. It was adorned with intricately beaded and embroidered appliqués. The skirt had box pleats, embroidery and a cathedral-length train. Her hand-tied bouquet included creamy white calla lilies with deep purple throat and white roses.

The maid of honor was Liz Johnson of Chicago, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was the bride's cousin, Stephanie Thoenen of Stow. Bridesmaids were Liz Durig of Stow, friend of the bride; Rachel Davis of Cuyahoga Falls, cousin of the bride; Lauren Davis of Cuyahoga Falls, cousin of the bride; and Tara Skinner of Tallmadge, sister of the bridegroom. Junior bridesmaid was Madison Davis of Cuyahoga Falls, cousin of the bride.

Best men were Shane Skinner of Kent, brother of the bridegroom and Dave Snyder of Akron, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Matt Lolli of Middletown, Mike Gross of Stow, Andy Simonovski of Munroe Falls and Nick Marazza of Cuyahoga Falls, all friends of the bridegroom. Junior groomsman was Keegan Lind of Bath, cousin of the bride.

A reception took place at Our Lady of the Cedars in Fairlawn. The couple honeymooned in Aruba and Riv Palace.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School and a 2007 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in hospitality management. She is employed as the conference service manager at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Akron, with a degree in construction engineering. He is employed with N.L. Skinner Home Improvement in Stow.

The couple resides in Stow.
