Ashley Fairhurst and William McGee were married Sept. 19, 2009, in the Historic Church on Tallmadge Circle, with the Rev. Zac Derr, pastor, The Chapel, officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Janet Fairhurst of Tallmadge. The bridegroom is the son of Christine Bailey of Akron and Donald and Jodi McGee of Cuyahoga Falls.
The bride wore an antique ivory gown, with beading and lace, by San Patrick. The wedding colors were espresso, dusty rose and ivory.
Abigail McGuckin of San Jose, Calif., friend of the bride, served as matron of honor and Erin Christopher of Columbus, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia Liptak of Cuyahoga Falls, friend of the bride; Mandy Seymour of Stow; sister of the bridegroom; Mary Edwards of Munroe Falls and Jenna Warner of Tallmadge, friends of the bride; Annie McGee of Bloomington, Ill., sister-in-law of the bridegroom; and Ashley Brown of Chicago, Ill., friend of the bride. Flower girls were Ella McCutcheon of Cuyahoga Falls, niece of the bridegroom and Audrey Young of Canton, cousin of the bride.
Jason McGee, of Bloomington, Ill., and Darrel Mealy of Cuyahoga Falls, served as best men. Groomsmen were Scott Fairhurst of Tallmadge, brother of the bride; Marc Seymour of Stow, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Ryan Wiley of Cuyahoga Falls, friend of the bridegroom; Franklin Lohmier of Cuyahoga Falls, friend of the bridegroom, John Givens of Clearwater, Fla., cousin of the bridegroom; and Aaron Miller of Lansing, Mich., friend of the bridegroom. Ringbearers were Izaiah Clifford of Ellet and Carson Young of Cuyahoga Falls, both cousins of the bride.
The reception took place at the Portage Country Club in Akron.
The couple honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, Mexico.
The bride is a graduate of Tallmadge High School and Kent State University. She is employed by Medline Industries as a medical sales representative.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and Kent State University. He is employed by Goodyear, also in sales. The couple reside in Tallmadge.
