Kelly Ann Gallagher and Michael David Whitfield were united in marriage June 6, 2009, at Hudson Community Chapel. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Joe Coffey. The bride is the daughter of Rose and Dennis Gallagher of Stow. The bridegroom is the son of Bob and Shari Whitfield of Fairlawn. Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory royal satin and crystal tulle V-neckline gown with shirred tulle overlaying the empire bust. The bodice is filled with platinum embroidery and beading. The full A-line skirt has a split back in lay of pleated tulle tufts accented with beaded medallions down the 6-foot semi-cathedral train. She wore an elbow-length veil accented with Swarovski crystals made by her mother. She carried a bouquet of bundled nosegay, lavender and ivory roses, white hydrangea and white/purple mini calla lilies, accented with green hypericum berries. Christine Helber of Stuart, Fla., cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Schratz of Northfield Center, Christine Kurtz of Independence, and Kate Barrett of Portage Lakes, all friends of the bride. Kelly Irene Gallagher of Munroe Falls, and niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Shane Barker of Macedonia served as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Whitfield of Stow, brother of the bridegroom; Mike Gallagher of Munroe Falls, brother of the bride; and Dave Barnes of Green, friend of the bridegroom. Maxwell Barnes of Green, son of a friend of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer. The reception took place at the Clarion Inn in Hudson. Special guests included Sue Kunz, Tom and Linda Kunz, and Bill and Debi Kunz, all of whom are from Minnesota and are aunts and uncles of the bride. Other special guests were Patricia Dailey, Kathy and Dick Domonkas, and Jim and Maureen Gallagher. They are from California and Florida and are also aunts and uncles of the bride. Many cousins also attended from out of town. The bride is a 1993 graduate of Stow Munroe-Falls High School, a 1998 graduate of Ohio University and a 2002 graduate of Life University, College of Chiropractic. She is employed as the owner and clinic director at Advanced Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Cuyahoga Falls. The bridegroom is a 1982 graduate of Woodridge High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of Akron. He is employed as an industrial sales consultant at Joshen Paper and Packaging in Cleveland. The couple honeymooned in San Francisco and the Napa Valley, and now reside in Akron. Comments
