Faith in Action-Interfaith Caregivers is having a fundraising event March 6 and 7 with the performance of the musical "The Chaplain." It was produced and directed by Sharon Alberson, a Cuyahoga Falls resident.
Performances are March 6 at 7 p.m., at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, Wyoga Lake Road, Cuyahoga Falls, and March 7 at 3 p.m., at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect Street, Akron. A chili supper will follow the March 7 performance. Tickets for the chili supper are $6. Family discount packages are available. Tickets for "The Chaplain" are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. For more information call 330-922-1900.
Alberson, founder of Faith Musicals, a musical theatre outreach whose purpose is to help local charities in the community, is also Minister of Music at Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron. A graduate of Kent State University School of Music, the University of Akron School of Law, Harvard Divinity School and Oxford University, Alberson was ordained in Fairfield Connecticut in 2006, just a week after "The Chaplain" premiered at Southport Congregational Church, where she served as an associate minister.
