Ella Rhea Wood, 91, died Feb. 5, 2010.
Mrs. Wood was born in Akron, and had lived in Cuyahoga Falls since 1985 before moving to Spencer N.Y. She was a member of and held various positions in Eastern Star, Women's Auxiliary for the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281, Elks, La Femes, Women's Auxiliary for the VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 and the Women's Bowling Congress. She was an avid bowler in mixed leagues.
Preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Charles Wood, and brothers Ranny, George and Frank Shelley, she is survived by her children James Wood of Pennsylvania and daughter Carol Ann (Carl) Deming of Spencer; grandchildren, Colby and Dawn Wood and Joseph and Amy Conigliaro; great-grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, Caitlyn and Jack; brother Jess B. (Judy) Shelley and sisters Marion Keck and Katherine Meacham.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to a donor's favorite charity in her memory.
Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
