DAVID JAMES SNEDDEN Worked for Hoover Co. David James Snedden, 57, of Carrollton, died Jan. 3, 2010, following a battle with lung cancer. Born Aug. 27, 1952, in Akron to David and Gertrude Snedden, Mr. Snedden moved to Carrollton in 1975 with his wife, Robin. Married for 34 years, they enjoyed life in the country and raised their three children, Devon, Nathan and Lindsay. Mr. Snedden was an artist, a lover of nature, and a special source of strength for all who knew him. He was an engineer with The Hoover Company for 15 years before retiring in 2005, after which he worked as an engineering consultant. Mr. Snedden is survived by his wife, Robin (Zaychek); daughters, Devon and Lindsay; son, Nathan; mother, Gertrude; and sister, Martha. He was preceded in death by his father, David; brother, Laird; and sister, Lisa. Funeral services took place in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. A graveside service followed at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Comments
