Bill Smith and Geneva Patete were married Jan. 9, 1960 at St. Martha's Church in Akron. The Smiths live in Cuyahoga Falls and are the parents of two children, Lisa (Brad) Yates and Tony (Maureen) Petrasko. Tony changed his name back to the family name of Petrasko at the time of his marriage.
Bill and Jenny Smith are the grandparents of three granddaughters: Maria, Vanessa and Christina.
Bill retired as manager of accounting from Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton after 28 years service. Jenny began her career at Ohio Edison and retired from CVS.
The Smiths and their family celebrated their anniversary on a Christmas cruise in the Caribbean. After returning from their cruise their children surprised them with a party for extended family and friends.
