Locally owned Geneva Chervenic Realty rang in the new year with a new name -- Keller Williams Chervenic Realty -- having teamed up with the third-largest real estate franchise in the United States.

According to Dave Chervenic, company president, the arrangement gives the company's customers access to a network of 73,000 agents across the United States and Canada, as well as the personalized service and local market knowledge that have made Geneva Chervenic Realty, which will remain independently owned and operated, a leading Northeast Ohio realty company.

"Since 1973, we have focused on building a business based on providing the very best service, honesty and integrity," said Chervenic. "This has resulted in 36 years of goodwill and clients who come to us again and again when it's time to buy or sell a home."

Chervenic added that the emphasis on personalized service is a value shared by both Geneva Chervenic Realty and Keller Williams Realty.

Buyers who are relocating can work with a local Keller Williams real estate agent to find a home in any state in the U.S. or Canada, while sellers will have access to a larger pool of potential buyers.

Additionally, Chervenic said he is excited about the opportunities the franchise creates for the firm's agents to serve their clients with expanded tools and Internet exposure.

"We strive to give agents what they need to be successful, including ongoing education and training through Keller Williams University," said John Ludwick, managing partner of the Cleveland offices of Keller Williams. "Our culture is based on creating a genuine partnership between the company and the agent.

Agents have an opportunity to hold their company accountable, and the profits that are generated are shared by those who have helped the company grow."

For Geneva Chervenic, founder of Geneva Chervenic Realty, another factor in becoming part of the Keller Williams family of franchises was the emphasis on faith and family.

"We believe that the more we serve, the more we are blessed," she said. Currently there are more than 100 agents associated with the newly named company. Chervenic said Keller Williams encourages its agents to share their wealth with charitable organizations and place God and family above business.

"With Geneva Chervenic Realty, we found a similar corporate culture that meshed perfectly with the core values of Keller Williams," Ludwick said. "This is important because our belief system is integral to our success, both professionally and personally."

Geneva Chervenic founded the realty company that bears her name in 1973 in Cuyahoga Falls. Her son David came on board in 1975 and now serves as broker and owner.

The company has been at its current location at 3589 Darrow Road in Stow since 1976 and expanded to Green and Fairlawn in 2001 and 2004, respectively.
